Stanford University Online High School

Class of 2020

I chose to attend Stanford University Online High School (Stanford OHS) because of the university-level math curriculum. I am a Malone Scholar, recipient of the 2020 Division Awards for Excellence in Math and Excellence in Latin, and 2019 Junior Book Award winner. I served as a Student Ambassador, a Peer Tutor for 20 courses, co-teacher of the Computational Thinking pilot course, co-teacher of The OHS Jazz Band/Online Jamming Technology Summer at Stanford Mini-Course, and led 2 clubs.

In spring of 2017, I qualified for the U.S.A. Physics Olympiad Semifinals and received an Honorable Mention. In fall of 2017, my team for the High School Mathematical Contest in Modeling was judged a Finalist. In addition to founding and leading The OHS Jazz Band and The Computational Thinking Club, I was a member of the Math Modeling Club, the Competition Math Club, the Equal Rights Amendment Coalition Club, the Latin Club, and the Competition Physics Club. In 2018 the Director of Student Life selected me as a Club Leader with Distinction for my leadership of The OHS Jazz Band.
